Join Little Wings Library during First Friday on July 3rd, 2026 from 5:00–8:00 PM in downtown Camas for a community children’s book drive.
We are collecting new and gently used children’s books, including picture books, early readers, chapter books, and graphic novels, to help stock the new Downtown Camas Little Wings Library.

Downtown Camas Association Community Volunteer Fair
Earlier this year, Little Wings Library joined 15 local service organizations at the Downtown Camas Association’s Community Volunteer Fair at Fuel Medical Group in downtown Camas.
The event gave us the opportunity to connect with new volunteers, community partners, families, and local residents who share a passion for literacy and community service. We are grateful to everyone who stopped by to learn more about the Little Wings Library project and the many ways to get involved.
Events like these continue to strengthen the partnerships and community support that help Little Wings Library grow.
Downtown Camas First Friday: Comic Con!
Little Wings Library fluttered into Downtown Camas for First Friday Comic Con and loved celebrating with the community.
Visitors stopped by our booth to enjoy our popular butterfly craft, a favorite for our littlest readers, and to learn more about how we bring books to life across the community. We also shared a sneak peek of our newest Little Wings Library, thoughtfully designed and built by students at Discovery High School. This library is scheduled to be installed at the newly renovated Crown Park.
December 2025 -
Little Wings Library participated in the Clark County Juvenile Court Literacy Event as a community partner alongside PAL (Police Activity League), Fort Vancouver Library, Barnes and Noble, Restored and Revived and the Clark County Food Bank.
Our teen volunteers helped lead literacy activities and shared books with children and caregivers, creating a welcoming moment of connection for families navigating the juvenile court system. This collaborative event reflected our shared commitment to supporting families, expanding access to books and offering encouragement through literacy and community care.
Camas School District Book Bowl READ-gionals
February 2025 | Organized by Little Wings Library
Little Wings Library was proud to organize the 2024–2025 Book Bowl READ-gionals in partnership with all six Camas elementary schools! This exciting literacy competition brought together student teams from each school to compete for the coveted Book Bowl trophy, celebrating their love of reading, teamwork, and school pride.
The event was made even more special thanks to our generous sponsors: iQ for Kids, Runyan's Jewelers, Backpacker Pizza, Bookish, Camas Boutique Hotel, Dutch Bros, Burgerville, Camas Dairy Queen, Discovery High School, and Camas High School Key Club. Their support helped us create a truly memorable day for students, families, and educators.
Highlights included visits from local authors and illustrators, hands-on literacy crafts, and a special appearance by the Camas Public Library. We were especially honored to host Donna Sandstrom, author of Orca Rescue!, who gave an inspiring presentation about marine conservation and her mission to protect orcas and other ocean wildlife.
The READ-gionals were a joyful celebration of books, curiosity, and community—and we’re already looking forward to next year!
